AECOM Middle East are currently looking for a Computational Designer to bring advanced digital and computational expertise to our urban design and master planning projects. This role will focus on enhancing project workflows and efficiency through scripting, parametric modeling, and data analytics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our urban design team, using tools like Rhino, Grasshopper, GIS platform or Revit Platform to develop data-driven models and streamline design processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computational design, architecture, urban planning, urban design or related fields.
Strong proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper, with experience in developing scripts in Python to expand Grasshopper’s capabilities.
Ability to use additional Grasshopper plugins for analysis, procedural modeling, and evolutionary algorithms, leveraging tools such as Galapagos for optimization, Kangaroo for physics-based modeling and others
Strong proficiency in Revit and Dynamo, with experience in developing scripts in Python to expand Dynamo’s capabilities, integrate external libraries or APIs, and enhance Revit workflows Basic experience with GIS platforms and the ability to work with 3D design programs, such as ESRI City Engine and Arc Urban, to integrate geographic data into urban design.
