Job Description

Construction General Contracting House Ltd., a well-established and highly reputable contracting firm based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Civil) to lead complex construction projects from inception to handover. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned professional who has spent their career building the UAE’s skyline and infrastructure network and is ready to take full ownership of large-scale project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large civil construction projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation frameworks
- Direct and coordinate multi-discipline site teams including civil, MEP, fit-out, and specialist subcontractors
- Establish and enforce quality management, HSE compliance, and client satisfaction standards on-site
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress claims
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide accurate progress reports to senior management
- Identify project risks proactively and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Mentor and develop junior project managers and site engineers within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum 15 years of UAE experience in a reputable contracting company – this is non-negotiable
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale civil, infrastructure, or building projects in the UAE
- Strong expertise in project scheduling tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
- Deep knowledge of Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements, ADNOC, and municipality approval processes
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- PMP or CIOB certification is advantageous
- Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an added benefit
